PHILJAFA-ARMM Advocacy Program Concepts
February 22, 2009ADVOCACY PROGRAM CONCEPTS
General Statement
To find relevance for its existence, PhilJaFA-ARMM thought of actively involving itself in such critical advocacy areas as the peace process, the environment, building goodwill between Japan and the ARMM in terms of cultural and educational exchange programs and in such other areas that promote this concept such as learning the Niponggo and embarking on research ventures that serve the interest of the Association and JICA in terms of acquisition of first-hand data and information.
PhilJaFA-ARMM operates at the center of the conflicted-affected areas in Central Mindanao, South of the Philippines. The Association is composed of people who are experts in their own fields and coming from multi-disciplinary background. Individually and collectively, it has almost all the competence required for the development of the ARMM region. (more…)

Paraphrasing the Obama inaugural speech
January 21, 2009After the familiar salutation to “my fellow citizens” and a polite thank you to the man he replaced, President Barack Obama got right to the point.
“That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood,” he said.
It was an inaugural address that laid out his economic challenges with cold-eyed realism. But his remedies — equal parts hope and policy agenda — face a slew of political and practical hurdles. And he offered no specifics to back up his promise to improve America’s standing in the world and end a war that he opposed. (more…)
PGMA Resigned (New Year’s Day Prankster!)
January 2, 2009The position was first offered to the Pope who declined because he had earlier relinquished his Filipino citizenship due to poor health. Thank God, the Pope had good reason to turn down the offer! Otherwise, we will have a constitutional crisis.. Why? Can you imagine a President without a First Lady had the Pope accepted it?? Hehehe..! (more…)
‘Cheat Talks’ in a Birthday Party
Our 28th Wedding Anniversary
December 30, 2008Wishlist for 2009
And so there is no stopping the culmination of year 2008 and commencement of 2009. Whatever it was a year for anyone of us.. happy, sad, better, bitter or just okay.. it was a year full of memories, anyway.. whatever that is..
On the whole, for us Pinoys, 2008 was just okay as we were not so affected by the global financial crisis and the yearend was punctuated by one of the most stunning upset in boxing history.. when our compatriot Manny Pacquio stopped Oscar dela Hoya after the 8th round of their fight in Las Vegas on Dec. 7, 2008. What a way to show bigheart for Manny; what a proud name to be called Filipino that very moment. (more…)
